What is a flame? Generally speaking, it is a posting that attacks a *person*
rather than an idea, and is a great way to get kicked off the list. Flames are NOT
permitted - disagreements are. What is the difference?
"I can't stand strip piecing, it drives me nuts" is a disagreement
"Sue, I can't understand why you would strip piece, it is a stupid method!"
is a flame.
Any post that belittles a *person* by name is considered a flame and will not be
tolerated. Forwarding a private E-mail to the list without stripping an
identification from the note is a flame. Forwarding a private E-mail to the list
after taking out any identifying features is a disagreement.
When in doubt, DON'T DO IT. Remember the Golden Rule. Take a deep breath
and hit the delete button.
