WELCOME TO QUILTERSBEE
*** Please print and save this important information. ***
QuiltersBee is a virtual Quilt Guild where members share their love for the art and
craft of quilts and quiltmaking. Topics of discussion may touch on all aspects of
quilters' lives. We are friends who care about and support each other through good times
and bad. If you join QuiltersBee, you will receive all the posted
messages. You can choose to receive them all at once in a daily digest, or
as they are posted. Are you new to the Internet? Click
here for helpful tips.
While there is no strict "on topic" rule, posts to QuiltersBee should
be of general interest to *quilters* and of a nature that would be discussed publicly at a
quilt guild meeting. NO COMMERCIAL POSTING! Please be polite and respectful of other members' feelings and points
of view. Flames are
not permitted. Our membership spans the globe and represents many races, creeds, and
nationalities; therefore, political and religious discussions are to be avoided. We
ask our members to follow generally accepted "netiquette" when posting to
QuiltersBee.
As a courtesy to those who must pay for each download, please delete
portions of the message not relevant to the discussion. Edit your
replies to messages and use appropriate Subject lines. Some
off_topic discussion is okay; but NO political or religious discussions,
prayer requests, or intense personal discussions. Please dont send
Virus warnings, "Alert" messages, chain letters, forwarded
messages, cross_postings, etc. No detailed announcements about
Swaps/Block exchanges are permitted. Its okay to refer someone to a
web page to read the details of your swap, though. If you dont have
one, E-mail krisdriessen@yahoo.com
and she will make you a web page on the Quiltersbee home list Be
respectful and aware of copyright issues and laws. Dont ask or offer
copying of a pattern. Refer them to the URL where they can purchase it.
Lets keep our wonderful pattern designers in business! Click here

all go on a field trip! See directions below.

addy you will see Options - click on that. Then look for this section
and follow the instructions written below:

to HTML mail *****Make sure this section is NOT checked
Do not convert to HTML. Don't change the format of email sent to me
Note: The HTML format allow you to see colors and graphics in your
messages. *****Make sure that this section IS checked.
Once you have done the above, be sure to click on Save Changes. Once
this takes effect, your future Yahoo list mail should be advertisement free. There maybe mail already in the *loop* before you make the
changes.
Our Volunteers deserve our utmost respect and appreciation for making QuiltersBee the special list that it is. We have many ongoing swaps and
exchanges which are regularly announced to the list. Announcements and reminders are
posted to QuiltersBee by the activity host/hostess. If you plan to host a swap/exchange,
please be sure not to duplicate an existing one.
Click
here to read messages from the web rather than have them delivered to your
mailbox. Choose EXPAND MESSAGES at the top of the list of message
names. This will open all the messages at once instead of one at a time. Archives:
To find a post in the archives, sign in and then go to messages
and enter your inquiry in the message search. Or click expand
messages to look for a specific post. The date of the digest helps
but is not necessary.

privately hosted activities/swaps is not to be posted to the list.

List Guidelines
While QuiltersBee is generally unmoderated, please remember that this is a list for quilters about quilts and quilting
related activities. Please be sure that topics of posts to QuiltersBee are appropriate
for the entire list and that they have a clearly defined subject line. If you receive
the digest, please remember to change the subject line.
We have many list members who pay for download time. As a courtesy to them, when responding to a QuiltersBee post, please do not send the entire
post back with your response. Copy *only* enough of the original post so that list
members have a reference point.
Please don't send private posts to QuiltBee. If you are responding privately to a post to the list, be sure that
address or cc line of your private post.
Please don't post messages to the list for members whose e-mail is bouncing. If a message sent privately bounces, so will a message to the list.
The two most common causes for this: the recipient's mailbox is full, in which case posts
to the list are also bouncing; or the recipient is either on vacation or between ISPs, in
which case they have temporarily unsubscribed from the list so won't see the post to the
list either.
Virus warnings should not be posted toQuiltBee, no matter how legitimate they seem to be. If you receive a virus warning, e-mail a copy to
Kris.
